Herding Home Animal Rescue began in 2021, when our director had an ambitious drive to save overlooked herding breeds and urgent cases from high-risk shelters. Often misunderstood, these intelligent, high-energy dogs need attention, care, patience, and a sense of purpose. She couldn’t stand by and watch these loyal, loving dogs be forgotten and left without a chance.

Rescue work is filled with hardships—emotional, financial, and logistical. From limited resources at times to unexpected medical needs, our journey hasn’t been easy. Yet, with each dog we rescue, every community event, each new foster family, and the connections we see these dogs make—we see the impact of our work and know that the time and commitment is worth it.

We define success as every dog finding a forever home and every family feeling complete. With every adoption, our community of fosters, adopters, and volunteers grows stronger. The people who contribute their time and support, strengthen our belief that every dog deserves a loving home.
